Professor, Dr. University of Tohoku, Japan
CV:
Yasuo Cho graduated in 1980 from Tohoku University in electrical engineering department. In 1985 he became a research associate at the Research Institute of Electrical Communication Tohoku University. In 1990, he was awarded the title of Associate Professor by Yamaguchi University, and in 1997, he was appointed Associate Professor at the Research Institute of Electrical Communication, Tohoku University, and in 2001, he was appointed Professor at the same institute. In 2022, he moved to New Industry Creation Hatchery Center, also at Tohoku University, as a specially appointed professor.
During this time, his main research interests included nonlinear phenomena in ferroelectric materials and their applications, research on the scanning nonlinear dielectric microscopy (SNDM), evaluation and analysis of semiconductor materials and devices using SNDM, and research on using the SNDM in next-generation ultrahigh density ferroelectric data storage (SNDM ferroelectric probe memory).
