Chisinau International Airport is Moldova‘s main international airport, located 13 km (8.1 mi) southeast of the center of Chisinau, the capital city.  It’s a convenient place to start a trip, offering access to more than 40 countries, including Europe, Asia, and the Middle East  www.zbor.md.  It offers connections to many of European cities, including Athens, Barcelona, Berlin, Brussels, Budapest, Bucharest, Dublin, Frankfurt, Istanbul, Lisbon, London, Madrid, Milan, Bologna, Paris, Rome, Tel Aviv, Warsaw and many others. The IATA airport code RMO is derived from Republicof Moldova.

 

An international railway terminal has connections to Bucharest, Iasi and Odessa.

To get from Chișinău International Airport (RMO) to the city, there are several transportation options available, such as taxi, car rental, and also trolleybus line 30, which connects the airport to the city center.

Transportation options:
Taxi: Taxis are available right at the airport terminal and cost between 100 and 200 MDL (~10 Euro).
Trolleybus line 30: This connects to the city center; the final stop is “Casa Presei”, which is approx. 500 m from the Conference venue. The cost of a trip is 6 MDL (~25 Cent)
Car rental: There are several car rentals companies at the airport, with prices starting from 500 MDL (~25 Euro) per day.

To get to the Railway Station, Central or North Bus Station, you can use trolleybus line 30 or a taxi. If you prefer to drive, the driving distance from Chisinau International Airport (RMO) to the city is approximately 11 km.
